Run together, live.
Roadcrew puts your run on a live map and your crew in the chat. They follow along from wherever they are, and you hear their messages without breaking stride.
How it works
Three steps, and none of them involve anyone stopping to stare at a phone.
Start your run
Pick a race, a free run, or a course you've uploaded, then hit start. Tracking runs in the background and leaves your music alone.
Your crew tunes in
Followers get a notification when you set off. They open a live map and watch your dot make its way along the route, sending you messages from wherever they happen to be.
Hear them as you run
Their messages come through your headphones, and you can talk back instead of typing. The phone stays in your pocket until you're done.
What's in the app
Built around race day, though most of it works for any run. Here is what's ready and what's still being built.
Live GPS Tracking
Your position streams from your phone for the whole run. Spectators watch you move across the map as it happens, not after the fact.
Real-Time Crew Chat
Every run gets a group chat. Your crew can tell you where they're standing on the course, and you can answer without stopping.
RunSignUp Integration
If your race is on RunSignUp, link your account and claim your bib to run the event live in the app.
Follows & Privacy
Public profiles accept new followers automatically. Private ones let you approve each request, so your runs only reach people you've said yes to.
Free Runs
You don't need a race to use the app. Head out for an ordinary training run and your followers can tune in the same way.
Custom Course Runs
Upload a route as GPX, TCX, KML, or GeoJSON and run it. Spectators see the course drawn on the map and how far along it you are.
Voice Updates
Messages are read aloud as they arrive, and you can dictate a reply instead of typing one. Spoken commands let you replay the last message or pause the chat — all handled on the phone itself.
Live Pace & Distance
Live pace and distance the whole way, from your phone's GPS or a paired sensor. Share the numbers with your crew when you want them, or keep them to yourself.
Heart Rate & Sensors
Pair a Bluetooth heart-rate strap or a speed-and-cadence footpod and the readings ride along with your run. Let your crew watch your heart rate on the climbs, or keep it private.
Run Invitations
Invite particular followers to a run, even a private one. They get a push notification, and a single tap puts them on your live map.
AI Run Companion
An optional assistant you can talk to mid-run. Ask how your pace projects over the full distance, or what's left of the course, and it answers out loud.
Roadcrew is still in development. Anything marked “Coming soon” is being built now and should land at launch or shortly after. Email us if you want specifics on timing.
Three kinds of runs
A registered race, a route you've mapped out yourself, or just the usual loop around the neighborhood. Pick whichever fits the day.
Race
Available at launchFor registered events. Claim your bib through RunSignUp and your crew can follow your position and splits all the way through the finish.
Free Run
Available at launchNo registration and no set course. The live map and crew chat work the same as they do on race day; there's just no bib.
Course Run
Available at launchUpload a GPX or KML file to tie the run to a route. Spectators see the course on the map and can tell how much of it you've covered.
